This Refund Policy outlines the terms and procedures for refunds applicable to the Premium subscription service offered on the Hobigate platform. Hobigate is a digital service platform operating under the laws of the Republic of Turkey.

1. Overview

Hobigate Premium is a monthly digital subscription service that enhances your tracking experience for movies, TV shows, anime, books, and games. Our refund policy is based on the following core principles:

  • The Premium subscription fee is ₺125/month (discounted from ₺200)
  • Payments are processed through Shopier, a secure payment provider
  • The service is activated immediately upon successful purchase

2. Digital Service Nature

Hobigate Premium is a digital service that provides instant access upon completion of purchase. As such, it is subject to different provisions than the standard withdrawal rights applicable to physical goods.

Access to Premium features begins immediately upon payment confirmation. These features include unlimited list creation, advanced note-taking, messaging, and more.

Legal Notice

In accordance with Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 (Article 48) and the Distance Contracts Regulation (Article 15), the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for digital content and services whose performance has begun immediately with the consumer's consent. Hobigate Premium subscriptions fall within this scope.

3. Subscription Model

Hobigate Premium operates on a user-friendly and transparent payment model.

No Auto-Renewal

Hobigate Premium subscriptions do not auto-renew. This ensures our users maintain full control:

  • Payment is made manually for each subscription period
  • No automatic charges are applied when the subscription expires
  • Renewal is entirely at the user's discretion

When Your Subscription Expires

When your subscription period ends, your account automatically reverts to the free plan. Access to Premium features is restricted, but your existing data (lists, notes, reviews, etc.) is not deleted.

4. Refund Eligibility

Eligible for Refund

Your refund request will be considered in the following circumstances:

  • Payment was successfully processed but Premium features were not activated on your account
  • A duplicate charge was made for the same subscription period
  • A major platform-wide technical failure prevented use of the service for an extended period

Not Eligible for Refund

Refund requests will not be accepted in the following circumstances:

  • Change of mind or decision not to use the service after activation
  • Partial use of the subscription period or requests for pro-rated refunds
  • Account suspension or ban due to violation of platform rules
  • Natural expiration of the subscription period

5. Refund Process

To submit a refund request, please follow the steps below.

Refund Steps

  1. Send a refund request from your registered email address to hobigateofficial@gmail.com
  2. Include your Hobigate username, payment date, and reason for the refund in your email
  3. Our team will review your request and notify you of the outcome via email
  4. Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method

Refund Timeline

  • Request review period: 5 business days
  • Refund processing period: 10 business days
  • Bank/card reflection period: 5-10 business days

6. Payment Issues

If you experience any issues with your payment, please review the information below.

Failed Payment

If your payment failed and no amount was deducted from your account, no refund is necessary. If you believe an amount was deducted but Premium was not activated, please contact us.

Duplicate Charge

If you notice multiple charges for the same subscription period, please contact hobigateofficial@gmail.com immediately. A full refund will be issued once duplicate payments are verified.

Chargebacks

We kindly request that you contact us directly before initiating a chargeback through your bank. Chargebacks initiated through banks may result in account suspension and an additional review process.

7. Data Retention

When your subscription ends or a refund is issued, your data is handled as follows:

  • Your data (lists, notes, reviews) is not deleted upon refund or subscription expiration, but access to Premium features is restricted
  • Content exceeding free plan limits remains accessible in read-only mode
  • If you wish to delete your account entirely, you may submit a separate account deletion request

8. Policy Changes

Hobigate reserves the right to update this refund policy with prior notice. Changes take effect from the date of publication and are not applied retroactively to existing subscriptions. We recommend checking the current policy regularly.
